Latrisha McCaig has been awarded the Arc of Steuben’s Community Inclusion Success Award for the fourth quarter of 2016.
Latrisha lives in the Arc of Steuben’s East Main Street home and works at the agency’s Hornell Day Habilitation program. According to Melissa Garner, who nominated Latrisha for the award, Latrisha is always looking for ways she can be involved in her community, including decorating the windows of the agency’s Hornell Field Office for the city’s holiday festivities.
“Not only did Latrisha work on her artwork at Day Hab, she also went to area businesses and passed out handmade Christmas cards that she made,” Melissa’s letter said. “She is getting herself known in the community more and more and establishing relationships with the other businesses.”
The Community Inclusion Success Award was created to honor people supported by the Arc of Steuben who are making efforts to become involved with the communities in which they live.
