Campaign Outcomes and Measurements
A consolidation of services in one location will save the Arc of Steuben more than $100,000 annually in energy and internal efficiency costs. These savings will be redirected toward education, transportation, vocational and employment placement, and health clinic services by bringing people together under one roof.
Cost savings, program enrichment, and improved services are one measurement of success. Another measurable outcome will be the open use of the new training and conference rooms by outside service organizations and educational institutions. The Arc of Steuben's motto is "in the community, of the community". Our goal is to put these words into meaningful and beneficial action for the community by making the Arc's training and conference facilities open to the public. This will give the Arc of Steuben the opportunity to further break down misconceptions about people with disabilities by seeing what we do and lead us toward our third goal.
A third measurable outcome will be to increase donor involvement. Our Board of Directors and the Arc of Steuben Foundation board of directors are active in supporting this organization. This has been clearly demonstrated by securing 100% donor participation from both boards for the capital campaign. A successful campaign will build upon involving new donors and increasing current donor positions. This campaign goal will be vigorously pursued by demonstrating that campaign dollars have been used effectively and raise positive community perceptions. We will measure the success of this goal by meeting a planned target date to raise 5% of the annual budget through external funding sources.
The most important outcome of the Together We Soar capital campaign is for the people we support. Improved and expanded programs will emphasize community integration. We want individuals:
- transition from utilizing Arc services into independent living arrangements,
- to secure meaningful and beneficial employment, and
- to experience their dreams and aspirations.
The Arc of Steuben has a successful track record, but we know that more can be done to integrate developmentally disabled populations into communities. This will be measured through surveys, job placements, and public recognition for individuals receiving Arc services. Our goal will be to strive for 100% satisfaction with the services received at the Arc of Steuben.
