The Arc of Steuben provides many training and employment services including:

Steuben Placement Service

Steuben Placement Service is an employment service which works closely with VESID (NYS Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities) to secure jobs for individuals needing assistance. Employment Specialists and Job Developers support and train individuals in resume writing, interviewing, and obtaining employment. Job Coaching is available to teach on-the-job skills, help individuals maintain their employment, and give support with work-related issues. We have offices in Corning, Bath, and Hornell for the convenience of our customers.

The Arc of Steuben’s Businesses:

The Arc of Steuben operates four businesses. The purpose of these businesses is to teach work expectations and help individuals develop the skills necessary to obtain and maintain employment in a community setting.

Steuben Janitorial Service

This business offers training in janitorial skills. These skills are taught through actual work experience in community sites under the supervision of a crew supervisor. Training in carpet cleaning and resilient floor care techniques is also available.

Food Service

Our food service program offers training in food preparation and general food service skills. Individuals are taught food preparation, dish washing, bussing, order taking, and cashiering. This program is located at our Industrial Park facility.

Printers Plus

Training in screen printing, offset printing, bindery operations, and embroidery are available through Printers Plus, located at our Industrial Park site.

Industrial Solutions

Light assembly, packaging, and shipping/receiving training are offered by this business. Most labor is performed in one of our two plants located in the Bath Industrial Park. We are also equipped to take groups of trainees to our customers' sites to perform the contracted work.
